I know im a year late on this but i have a 28 hqi and had the same problem with heat but i bought a 30 dollar clip on aqaurium fan that keeps my temperature at 77.3 for 10 hours a day with the metal halide on. Much cheaper than a 350 dollar chiller

I built a couple versions of a dorm fridge feeder back in 2008-9. The posts on Reef Central are all archived now. I tried the thermoelectric fridge and found it just didn't hold up. After a couple of months it would no longer maintain a cold enough temp. The final version (which I still have) uses a standard dorm fridge with compressor. One difference is that mine was intended to provide "constant" food for fish instead of inverts. That is harder since it requires larger peristaltic tubing. Mine used 3/8". I like the idea of the pipe flowing through the fridge but I suspect you would want to insulate it otherwise it would be a constant drain on the fridge's cooling ability- especially with a TE fridge as shown.

Stung 3/9/2012 in Grand Turk. We were spearing them, and I was attempting to cut off the fins with scissors when the diver holding the spear moved, turning the spear over so that a dorsal spine hit the back of my hand (no kevlar there.) Pain was immediate, but not really sharp. Was able to finish dive and actually cleaned several more. By 3/14, though still very swollen, was able to help paint the outside of my house. Swelling never got above mid-forearm. Swelling went down considerably but then got worse so I finally saw a doctor (3/19) and am currently on antibotics. If swelling doesn't diminish by tomorrow will go in again for XRay to see if barb is still in there. Will continue shooting them but will take spear away from the diver before cleaning.

I would say depending the hood. Maybe it is interesting for you to hear that we will come out next week with a braket for the illumina... No hood needed mabe because it looks like a more open and stylish half closed solution... :)
